Yes, ...Thanks Connie, I appreciate you saying it.

Yes, #3 is unique... even compared to the stark 'Arctic' photo of the next blog. I think because the sun is so 'pure' and contained. Does that make sense?

Anyway, thanks for entering.Anita Mae Draperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16618699900826731377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6686763395752601315.post-65706848639588023522010-01-30T14:34:29.462-06:002010-01-30T14:34:29.462-06:00Hi Anita

We used to say they were an indication of a change in the weather, or an approaching storm. (Could be true this week!)

The 'eyeball' photo is kind of fascinating, but my favourite is also the first one. The emphasis is on the sun dog, rather than the sun. And I like the composition with the tree more fully in the picture. They are caused by ice crystals and are usually in very cold weather. On Tues, it wasn't that cold with the temp at -9C/16F but it was horrendously windy. My eyes teared up as soon as I passed the shelterbelt defining our yard. Also, we've been blessed with the beauty of ice crystals and frosted trees for the past week or two.

Thanks for the visit. I've got you both entered. :)Anita Mae Draperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16618699900826731377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6686763395752601315.post-63782338146954976612010-01-22T15:25:01.615-06:002010-01-22T15:25:01.615-06:00Anita, I sure enjoy your photography.
